Registration Network Family Practices

The Dutch abbreviation for this Network is called RNH. The RNH started in 1988 to establish a computerised anonymous database containing a limited set of patient characteristics and all relevant health problems. It was set up as a sampling frame, allowing researchers to identify patients with particular health problems or combinations of health problems (multimorbidity). The database can also be used for cross sectional or longitudinal analyses.
About 65 GPs working in 22 practices are members of the RNH. Practices closely linked to the Department can hopefully join the RHN in the future.
